FrontierVille is the newest addicting Facebook game by Zynga. If you're a fan of Cafe World, FarmVille or YoVille, you'll love this game. In FrontierVille players start off with a large chunk of land that is overgrown with an assortment of trees in different sizes, wildflowers, grass, rocks and cattle skulls. To make room for your new homestead, you'll need to clear the land. To do this, you'll need energy as each task uses up a few energy points. Read on to learn how to earn energy, horseshoes, food and all the other things you'll need to play!

About FrontierVille on Facebook
This virtual world begins with a plot of land that must be cleared. To play, you'll need to keep your energy up, earn coins and to progress in the game you'll need experience points. This will allow you to unlock new items and objects. The more friends you add as neighbors, the further you'll get in the game. If you're short on cash, food, energy or supplies, here's how to get more.
Get More Coins
The above tasks will also help you earn coins and experience. In addition to harvesting crops, be sure to chop down trees, whack any pesky animals that invade the land (like snakes) and get rid of weeds, wildflowers, rocks and all that other stuff. You'll also find coins by doing these tasks in your neighbor's Homesteads.
TIP: BONUS COINS (Fill the Bar!)
When you do a task, grab the Coins, Stars, Lightening Bolts, Hearts (Reputation found on neighbor's plots) and other items that pop out QUICKLY. If you do this fast, you'll see a BONUS BAR at the top of the screen on the right hand side. The faster you pick them up, the closer you get to filling the bar. When the bar is full you get free bonus coins. Don't let your treasures sit too long!
FrontierVille Gameplay Tips
Get More Energy
To create your homestead, you'll need to clear out a lot of brush, trees and other stuff you'll find in your way. Every time you chop down a tree, weed your homestead, pick wildflowers, water trees, care for animals, "clobber" snakes, groundhogs or other "varmint", you'll burn up energy. Without energy, you can't play. To get more energy, you'll need to find food. Here's how you get it:
- Harvest Crops for Food
- Buy Snacks (Requires 'Food')
- Visit Friends Homesteads
- Reach New Levels in The Game
- Wait for Your Energy Bar to Refill
- Remember to Take the Gifts That Your Friends Post on Their Walls!
Buy Meals at the Market
If you want to buy energy meals in the market place, you can't do
this with coins. You'll need to have 'food'. This looks like a little
pie icon and you'll see these pop up when you harvest your crops. Pie
can come as one slice (skinny piece of pie worth one 'food') or larger
pieces, worth more 'food.' Luckily, new players are given a few plots to
harvest when they begin playing.
Every time you harvest, you
collect food. It tallies up at the top of the game-play screen. You can
buy redeem the Food for Energy in the Market Place under "ENERGY". For
25 'Food' you can get a Light Snack (worth 3 energy), for 50 'Food' you
get Breakfast (worth 7 energy). As you add more neighbors, you'll be
able to unlock Lunch, Dinner, a 7-Course Feast and Beef Jerky. If you
can't wait, you can exchange "HorseShoes" for energy meals.
Finding Energy
When you harvest crops you might also stumble upon "Energy",
this looks like a lightening bolt. When you click on it, it goes up to
the energy bar at the top of the screen. Besides collecting and
redeeming food, you can also get more energy by visiting neighbor's
homesteads and helping out.
Visit Neighbor's Homesteads
When
you visit a neighbor's homestead, you'll automatically receive
energy, coins and another gift, like Cloth for example. Be sure to
click "Accept" on the pop-up screen. When you Tend to your neighbor's
farm, you'll be able to do 5 tasks. You can feed hungry chicks, harvest
crops, revive crops, chop down trees and clear the land of brush (trees,
weeds, grass, rocks, etc...) Each time you do a task, you'll be
rewarded with experience points, coins, reputation points and other
goodies.

Clobber A Snake for Coins, Food and Experience
If you see a snake, groundhog or other creature in your homestead, whack it! It may take a few turns but you'll earn coins, experience and food. The last time you whack it (before totally killing it) you'll get multiple coins, food, etc.
Special Collection Pieces
As you clear your land, you'll find some strange items like Venom Viles, Portrait Photo, Overalls, Skillet, Honey, Turpentine and more. Each of these items are a part of a Collection that must be completed in order to receive a reward. Redeem the collection for items like coins, energy, decorative items. fruit trees, animals and food or rare and special items like "Fruit Ready Boost", "Unwither Crop Boost," "Whither Protection Boost" and "Animal Harvest Boost."
Complete Goals for Rewards
At the left hand side of the screen you'll see a few icons. Check to see if there are any new Goals for you to complete. Whenever you complete a Goal, which could include building a cabin, growing crops, adding neighbors or other tasks, you'll receive a reward. As you get farther in the game, the value of the rewards go up. This is a great way to get a boost of coins, experience, food and other items. Be sure to share the loot with your friends and neighbors!
How to Get...
Cloth:
You'll need cloth to make things like, clothes, baby gifts and other things. Take a look at the Crafting Workbench to see just some of the items that you can make with cloth. You can get cloth by visiting friends homesteads and finishing and redeeming collections. Cloth can be found when you harvest sheep or redeem collections of the items that pop up when you harvest your crops of cotton.
Crops:
To get crops you'll need to plant food. Buy the food (corn, wheat, tomatoes, peas, etc) from the Market. Remember to come back and harvest the crops (requires energy) or they'll whither. Consider hiring friends and neighbors to work on your homestead as you won't have to spend energy!
Horseshoes
The premium currency on FrontierVille is "Horseshoes" and they're more valuable than coins. When you first start playing, you'll have a few to start with. These can be used in the Market to buy meals and other items. You can get Horseshoes by buying them (with real money). As you proceed in the game, you'll likely have opportunities to win more Horseshoes. At least this is the case with premium currency in other Zynga/Facebook games.
Use Coinstar and Get Free Horseshoes!
Got spare change laying around? Use Coinstar (located at most major grocery stores) to earn FREE FACEBOOK CREDITS. Sharing Your Goods
As you play, you'll come across coins, tools, food and other items you can share with neighbors. If you send free gifts and share extra supplies and coins, you'll likely get some back in return. Be sure to snag the goods that are up for grabs on your neighbors walls. If you're short on neighbors, visit the official Facebook page of the game and look for people who advertise "add me as a friend."
FrontierVille Cheats and Cheat Engines

Cheats can also refer to techniques used to take advantage of FrontierVille glitches. (Similar to how you can box in a Farmville character with bales of hay to have her/him harvest faster without walking around.) As new cheats are discovered, they will be posted here for all to use.
Snag Bar for FrontierVille
Facebook's FrontierVille was released during second week of June 2010. Upon the game's release in Beta, there was no snag bar available. Many expect that this feature will be added soon. If you're familiar with other Zynga games, you''d know they offer a toolbar that can be added to your browser so that you can be alerted when bonuses are available.

guys, if you want more horse shoes, you cant get them directly, if its for building things then you do this: make mutiple facebook accounts (i'm sure facebook have better things to do than track mutiple accounts) then you have a start up amount of horse shoes, level up a few times u get more then by building materials and send them to your main frontier account, this is how i did my general store and barn.

BTW, if u use the frontier's toolbar, you'll get i think 20 horseshoes the first time you use it and 1 each next day day plus 3 energy randomly, but you need to get into the game from the toolbar.
I downloaded the frotierville toolbar and it gave me the 20 horseshoes and the bonus horseshoes for each day. I had around 42 horseshoes. Then I get on the next day and I had 14 without even spending or doing anything different to cause this to happen. I have tried redownloading it but its still on the screen and wont give the lost horseshoes back. Any tips?

I am so tired of clearing my land and planting crops only to have the internet connection lost or telling me to refresh the page cause the game just got better. Just to have all my my work, money, and all gone. It has done this to me to many times and FrontierVille is the only game that does it. I use to like the game and I have lost to many horse shoes and everything else and I am hating this game now.
If u need horseshoes so bad then download the gamebar or do lots of work on ur neighbors homesteads and level up alot. One of my friends is level 42 and never bought a single horseshoe.

I got lots of horseshoes! Found them buried in my backyard a while back while planting my garden.
Really though, I don't get how people NEED horseshoes. I have been playing for a few weeks now and I haven't had a need for any horseshoes to progress in the game.

Jake.... As long as you have empty space on your frontier grass, trees, rocks, etc will grow. I complained to frontierville support when i cleared all my trees off my land and new baby trees reappeared. I was assumed, since many times during the loading screen of the game it said keep some trees so you will get new ones, that you needed trees for saplings to grow, but that is not the case... as long as there is an empty space something will appear there eventually.
